Briscoe family to share Christian experiences from around the globe

Stuart and Jill Briscoe witnessed the breadth of Christian experience around the world in 2008, from the rise in anti-Christian attacks in India to the slums of Cairo where Sudanese Christians shared what little they have with Muslim refugees flooding in from Darfur.

"These Christians living in abject poverty are reaching out to these refugees in infinitely worse conditions. It's a heart-rending situation."
The couple and their son, Pete, will share those experiences and more as part of the third annual Evening with the Briscoes at 7 p.m. Friday at Elmbrook Church in Brookfield.

"By far our biggest outreach is on the Internet now," said Briscoe, who will be traveling to China, Bangladesh and Myanmar this year.
"Even those living in primitive conditions have computers and Internet connections. They can download all kinds of materials to help them in the work they're doing."
